Dear Neighbor,
Like you, I care about our kids and our community. I believe great schools are the backbone of any strong community. My vision for the East Penn School District is to continue the District's proud tradition of excellence, serving as a voice for our students as they work to become responsible, self-directed citizens who can compete in the increasingly challenging and changing global landscape. I serve as a voice for the community, leading the District in this shared vision, while also being responsive to and considerate of the needs of each stakeholder in the community. My goal is to pursue fiscally responsible solutions in an efficient and transparent manner, while maintaining the high level of academic excellence for which the East Penn School District is well known. Public education is one of the only mandates of our PA Constitution and I believe our children deserve the opportunities that a rich, forward-thinking education can provide. I also believe we should put a greater emphasis on early childhood learning and fully support the schools and professional educators who teach our school-age children. More emphasis must be put on teaching and opportunity and less on testing and evaluating. I became a School Director because I feel it is important for families of school-age children to have their voices included on the Board. Additionally, being married to a realtor, I see first hand the impact that affordable, quality education has in raising home values. Strong schools help the entire community. A voice for our kids.
